Pinnacle Saddle

Hike
- 1-way distance: 1.3 miles
- Elevantion gain: 1000 feet
- Recorded map:
Should take 1-1.5h to get there via the off trail. It's best to hike in the late afternoon and camp, then leave early morning the next day. Basically get the trail head around 4pm, reach the tarn around 6pm and you will have a plenty of time to prep for sunset.
Best time to visit
- The first 2 weeks of Aug to take photos of reflection on the creek.
- Sept to take photos of reflection on the creek & the tarn.
What to bring
- Lense 24-70mm is enough for reflection on the creek
- Lense 12-24mm for reflection on the tarn.
- A sleeping bag, inflatable mattress. Aug and Sept are warm enough, you dont need a tent. There are 3 camp sites and about 3-4 flat rocks where you can sleep on with just a inflatable mattress and a sleeping bag.
- Rain cover for sleeping bag, otherwise it may get wet over night due to the mist.
- Trail is short and there is a tarn, no need to bring too much water. 1l & 1 water filter is more than enough.
Be aware that
- Cammping permit ia required.
